In Isaiah 11:6, we read, “The wolf shall dwell with the lamb and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the lion and the fatling together…and a little child shall lead them.”  Jesus is that little “child” mentioned through Isaiah.  Until we fully submit under Jesus’s reign, we will not know peace and the predatory (lion, wolf, leopard)  side of us will have dominion over us.   We will be ruled by our emotions and self-nature.    This condition comes by degrees and not all at once, as long as we keep responding to the Holy Spirit taming us and bringing us in alignment with Jesus Christ.

In Luke 9:46, we read:   “and an argument arose among them as to which of them was the greatest, but when Jesus perceived the thought of thier hearts, He took  a child and put him by His side, and said to them, “Whoever receives this child in My name receives Me, and whoever receives Me, receives Him who sent Me; for He who is least among you all is the one Who is great.”
That little child represents Jesus- Who willingly emptied Himself on a constant basis to become least among men.  His disciples had yet to understand this, but after our Lord was murdered and then ressurrected, and gave them the Holy Spirit, they did actually understand- and then they, too, no longer fought amongst themselves as to who would be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus willingly emptied Himself of His Divinity and supernatural powers to become man so that we could become like Him through the Holy Spirit and be permitted into that narrow gate to the Father.  He is our Way back to the Father –through the Holy Spirit.   As we continue obeying and heeding the Holy Spirit’s voice,  we find our very hearts are no longer enslaved by our minds and emotions.  (which the predatory animal represents)   The lion within us is tamed by the Lamb of God.   We – just as Jesus –  become more and more in perfect alignment and subjection under the King of Kings-  as we were created to be before our first parents disobeyed the Lord’s spiritual laws, and backslid away from Him.

Only subjection to the Holy Spirit brings that perfect alignment where our Lord brings perfect order within us and where we then experience that condition in Jesus’s “Our Father” prayer,  “…..Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as in Heaven”.

We are all little “earths” and until this Earth can be restored and brought back under God’s perfect order,  each of us must first be restored through the Holy Spirit.  Only after the Lord accomplishes that within those  who are willing to allow Him,  can the actual physical Earth experience the Kingdom Age.      Our Heavenly Father will not be waiting forever for this to occur.  Plans are already being made in Heaven for Christ’s return.,  and I believe we are already in the beginning stages of the Great Tribulation.

We can become like that little child- through the Holy Spirit.   As we receive God’s grace, we become subject to the King of Kings by degrees until we experience the Kingdom of God within our hearts.  The lion predatory nature within us becomes under the Lamb of God’s influence, and we then learn what it is to be in the condition God had intended every human being He ever created to be in.   We will then experience perfect peace even in the midst of chaos.   Jesus , though temporary exiled from being King on this physical Earth yet, will become King within our hearts first and foremost before His physical return.
